Kid In A Lolly Shop is a music show presented by Martyn Saunders. Every week the show is ‘themed’ with amusing subject matter such as songs about colours and fruit & vegetables and American places that were in the top 20 chart. Martyn’s playlist also includes songs to commemorate special occasions such as his listener’s birthdays, Mothers Day, Anzac Day, Christmas and the like.
Every 2nd week Martyn has a Random Album segment where songs are selected randomly leaving it to fate to choose from his playlist. He looks at interesting events, birthdays and deaths in the music industry and has a nostalgic look at TV shows playing their theme tunes.
The last 1/2 hour is devoted to a featured artists or band and plays their tracks which includes their bio.
Kid in a Lolly Shop is great entertainment with lots of fun.
BIO
Martyn Saunders migrated to Australia in 1981 from Dorset in the UK as a young man in his twenties . He enjoyed fishing in the Poole Harbour and played soccer until injury ended his playing days. He remains a Manchester United fan and later was able to play badminton for many years. Martyn is married to Kim (an Aussie) with 3 daughters and a son. By day he is a Plasterer and on weekends he works as a DJ for weddings and parties. Martyn has been presenting Kid In A Lolly Shop at RPP FM since 2006.
