RPP FM & RPP +Plus will be hosting a brand-new show simply called “In Good Company “which gives the listener two hours of amazing music from all kinds of astonishing artists.
The show is hosted by RPP’s Ross Woodward.
Ross has been collecting music for nearly 50 years and has a massive passion for all kinds of bands.
A whole range of incredible artists will appear on the show over the weeks ahead including Mick Thomas, Tim Finn, The Smiths, the Lilac Time, Supertramp, Paul Weller, Buddy Guy and the Blue Nile.
On top of that listeners can expect to hear in future weeks two hours of amazing Blues by Keb’ Mo, two hours of fabulously crafted acoustic songs by Mary Chapin Carpenter and the British band from the 80s the Housemartins will also be a feature.
That’s not all though! In coming weeks, the show will feature the brilliant Robbie Williams (songs that are hard to get hold of) and the Pet Shop Boys …plus Crowded House.
Ross Woodward said “It’s this simple… the show is all focused on the music and giving listeners the chance to hear songs they may not be familiar with. I sincerely hope as the result of the show that listeners go off in their own time and discover these amazing artists.”
“With the huge power of Spotify, it is so easy to find new artists to listen to. In the modern age we are totally spoiled for choice. Music is my thing. It rules a lot of my life and I still collect CDs avidly. I’m all too aware that CDs have basically gone out of fashion. I just don’t care. I love opening a CD and putting the CD into a player. I have so many bands that I’m amazed by.”
“The purpose of the show is to open new doors for listeners. “In Good Company can be here heard on RPP FM & RPP +Plus. The show is on most Wednesdays between 1:00 PM and 3 PM.
