Two passionate experts of the great outdoors, Dean Giakoumakis & his buddy Charlie Micallef have tee’d up to present Bayside Adventures. Their program is an educational journey about fishing, boating, camping & 4WD’ing on, and around the Peninsula and afar.
The program will offer interviews from a wide variety of guests who are experts in their field providing an insight to boat manufacturing, caravan manufacturing, 4WD set ups and much much more to get you going.
BIO – DEAN GIAKOUMAKIS
Dean, originally a coastal Sydney-sider, has salt water running through his veins. His father, from the Greek Islands has fished all his life so Dean was introduced to fishing at a young age which is where his love of the ocean and the great Australia outdoors began.
His passion extends to this outdoor lifestyle and loves fishing, boating, 4WDriving and dirt biking. He is a Manager at Bayside & Peninsula Jeep in Frankston.
BIO – CHARLIE MICALLEF
Charlie is no stranger to the microphone as a pro-reporter on Fishnet.com.au. He has turned his hand to making local fishing DVD’s focusing on snapper and gummy sharks and recently joined the ranks of Salty Dog Films. His underwater diving skills, camera experience and good old fashioned charisma makes him a valuable asset to the fishing/media industry.
His passion for the ocean includes competing in spearfishing competitions against the likes of Australian champion Rob Torelli and was an active member of The Bulldogs Spearfishing Club, diving in NSW, Portland and Wilsons Prom.
Charlie also loves motor sport, especially V8 Super Cars and is a member of the Holden Special Vehicles club HSV.
