He had a number of jobs around the Frankston area until joining the Victorian Police force, One of his roles was as a Police Prosecutor which he took him into football as a Players Advocate and then went onto a role at the AFL/VFL as the Umpires Advocate. As well as a Reporting Officer for the AFL.

MPNFL Club Presidents met on Wednesday 2 September to discuss and resolve a final position on the Total Player Points (TPP) cap for the 2021 season.
