Due to the current covid climate and daily case numbers, the MPCA Senior Pennant Committee have met and decided on the following conditions for the 2021/22 season to continue. In these times it is imperative that all Clubs, players and members work together for us to be able to achieve our aim of completing the current cricket season.
1: All MPCA Games will proceed as scheduled, irrespective of the amount of players each club has out related to Covid, either as a positive case or in isolation as a close contact. If numbers prevent Clubs from filling any sides then the MPCA Pennant will address this at the time.
2: Each member who is unavailable to play in regards to Covid requirements will be required to register on the MPCA Covid Register, signed off by the Club Covid Officer and a member of the Clubs Executive Committee. This is to be sent to the MPCA GM by 10am on the Sunday after the scheduled games.
3: Any player from the club can be called upon to play in any grade above to help field the strongest sides possible due to the unavailability of players according to the Covid regulations. These players will be able to drop down to their original grade without having to drop grade by grade. When the player drops back to his original grade, the club must notify the MPCA GM. eg: A player from C2 can play in his clubs 2nds grade then return to C2 the next week, skipping A1 and B1 along the way.
4: Each clubs lowest grade will be required to forfeit when games cannot be completed due to Covid Numbers. These games will be deemed a draw and the points shared with the opposition.
5: Clubs who are withdrawing teams due to Covid are to notify the MPCA GM and opposition clubs at your earliest convenience prior to the commencement of the game.
6: For clarity around Isolation times, the 7 days will commence on the day of the positive case. If a player tests positive on a Saturday, this is Day 1 and will mean the 7 day isolation period finishes on the following Friday, meaning they are eligible to play on the Saturday.
7: Situations are changing quite quickly and the MPCA will monitor and action these circumstances as required, with communication to all clubs passed on regularly.
The MPCA require all Clubs to adhere to the above conditions. If Clubs are found to provide false or misleading information, the Senior Pennant Committee will address each situation on a case by case basis.
In these unprecedented and challenging times, the MPCA look forward to the remaining rounds and working together with all clubs to complete our 21/22 season.

Horoscope Forecast 10- 16 Jan 2022

This week the Mars/Neptune square could drain your energy and motivation. There could also be some confusion when Mercury turns retrograde from Friday until early February. Try to think carefully before you speak, if possible, try to avoid making big-ticket purchases, try to delay signing important contracts and of course, double-check everything.
