MPNFL Footy is split down the middle with a recent survey result only showing just 55% – 60% of clubs want to admit other clubs into the league.

The Herald Sun reported back on the 11th August with the headline that “Expansion was on the cards for the Mornington Peninsula League”

The survey was to be completed by the 30th August, but a meeting last night of the MPNFL Presidents voted 12 – 10 in favour. 75% is required to support a change.

That puts a halt at the moment for the Mornington Peninsula Nepean Football League to expand in 2022 after five clubs expressed interest in joining it.

Cranbourne, Narre Warren, Beaconsfield, Doveton  & Frankston Dolphins.

A possible expansion could see the creation of a third division.

Lets see what happens
