On the eve of the final round of MPCA cricket, Tootgarook have been dealt a blow, losing their star international recruit Adeel Hussain for two matches following a tribunal hearing.

Hussain gave Skye’s Azhar Zeehan an old fashioned send off, reportedly in Urdu. Zeehan reacted, words exchanged and both faced the tribunal on Thursday night

The result, two weeks for Hussain and one for Zeehan. This removes the Tootgarook opening bowling for their do or die clash with Boneo in the last round, and the semi final should they be there.

In other crunch games: Long Island and Heatherhill battle in Peninsula for a finals spot. Mt Eliza must win against Peninsula Old Boys to secure a home semi.

Six teams still in the battle on District division with only Seaford Tigers safe.
