A LETTER FROM THE PRESIDENT

The RPP Board of Management convened a special ‘phone hook-up’ and decided that, as of 9am Monday March 16th, all volunteer presentation shifts will cease for the time being.

Concerned about the most recent CoronaVirus developments, the Board were unanimous in their decision.

With the escalating COVID-19 threat, and its likely arrival on the Mornington Peninsula, the leadership group had no option but to exercise its right to guarantee the health and safety of its members.

Many of our volunteers are in the vulnerable COVID-19 cohort and under the circumstances, until the threat is lifted, it is better to be safe. All programming will therefore stream remotely through the newly installed RadioBoss system.

The Committee will review its decision in seven days time.

The Committee did however give permission for a small group of volunteers to form an information group who will team up with the Mornington Shire, Frankston Council, Peninsula Health and Morn Pen News to provide news and information.

Breakfast shifts, Monday through to Saturday, will continue for the time being.
