The Hay Mate concert – supporting the efforts of Rural Aid through its Buy a Bale program to help purchase hay, supply water, and provide financial assistance to farmers suffering the effects of this current drought – was a major success, raising over $4.2M to-date.

The event, held at the Mornington Racecourse, featured performances by John Farnham, Vanessa Amorosi, Daryl Braithwaite, The Black Sorrows with Vika and Linda, Jon Stevens and John Williamson.

All the money raised through the concert is going to Rural Aid’s disaster relief program to purchase hay, provide water and financial assistance for fire and drought affected farmers.

You can still donate.

All donations over $2 are tax deductible. If you wish to make a direct deposit or cheque payment please click the link below. All funds donated to this appeal will be used to support farmers and rural communities including but not limited to the purchase of fodder, water and financial assistance.
