Now you can visit Frankston in a whole new digital way.

Frankston City Council launched its new Visit Frankston app this week to inspire and inform residents and visitors.

The app is the ultimate travel companion, helping you discover more of the city and its surrounds and supporting your visiting family and friends on their journey.

Features include ‘what’s on’ listings, interactive maps and location-based services to help you find nearby events, restaurants, accommodation and things to see and do.

Once you have decided, you can organise an exciting day of exploration with your personalised itinerary builder.

Frankston City Council Mayor Sandra Mayer said these innovations were part of Council’s commitment to connecting people to the best that Frankston City has to offer.

“Each year 991,000 visitors come to Frankston City, many to see friends, relatives or attend our great events and festivals – like Frankston’s Christmas Festival of Lights this weekend.”

“Our guests use different tools to learn about new places and find their way around the city. The app will provide them convenient and high-impact ways to explore,” the Mayor said.

“We want Frankston to be a smart city for our locals and visitors.”

Council is also working on a Digital Visitor Information Kiosk to be launched in the near future.
