Community Bank supports local footy and netball – with your support

The Melbourne–Peninsula region’s Community Bank® branches are proud to support local footy and netball. During the 2018 season our regional cluster of branches supported football/netball in our region with an AFLSE sponsorship of more than $30,000. On top of this, many of our individual branches supported their local clubs with sponsorship packages: and some of these were substantial.

We are a partner of AFL South East and a major sponsor of the Mornington Peninsula Nepean Football League (MPNFL) which is one of the top Australian Rules Football leagues in Victoria. It includes 22 football/netball clubs with over 4,000 participating players. In 2018 we were the major sponsor for the league’s Division 2 competition.

The MPNFL plays an important role in the participation, promotion, development and pathways for aspiring future talented sports people to achieve their goals while continually focusing on building the competition as a family, fun and friendly place to attend and be seen as a leader in the community.

Our congratulations this year go to all the teams that participated and made it through to the September finals. Behind these clubs are passionate volunteers and players who put in so much work and dedication to make local club sport possible for all of us.

While we’re busy supporting these clubs, it’s important for the families and players involved to remember to support the bank that supports them. The more our local club parents and families get behind us, the more sponsorship funds we can direct back to their clubs and leagues.

We love increasing our sponsorships. But we can only do so if business comes our way to enable it. It’s as simple as that. Mutual support ensures that our football partnerships will continue well into the future.
