Christmas is here, and Bayside Centre has installed a brand-new Santa Set including the Sensitive Santa program.
Located on Level One outside Target, Bayside Centre’s pledge to make the holidays less about commerciality and more about community, has seen them collaborate with Dovecote Designs to provide a custom built Santa installation featuring a giant Gingerbread House!
Gabe North-Harney, Centre Manager said while on air with RPP FM’s Mornings with Heather & Michelle, “We knew we didn’t want a traditional classic Winter Wonderland theme…or a coastal theme and decided a giant Gingerbread House was a happy medium”.
The design is a safe, inclusive space with all the trimmings. Here, children who experience sensitivity to heightened sensory environments can enjoy this tradition in a quieter place.
With more than 1.5million people expected to visit the centre in December the need for this type of initiative is very real and a relief for many parents. Sensitive Santa sessions run from 7am-9am on Saturday 9 & 16 December. Bookings are essential: https://www.baysidesc.com.au/sensitive-santa-2017/
Bayside’s pets also get their chance to be photographed with Santa with dedicated times from 6pm-8pm on Monday 11 December and Wednesday 13 December. Bookings are essential: https://baysidesc.com.au/whats-on/santa-plus-pet-photography-at-bayside/
