The heavy rain on Saturday dampened the spirits of most cricketers over the weekend. Junior games were cancelled and senior teams were sent to the venues to access the likelihood of play.

In the end, only one match was completed as Peninsula Old Boys set a target of 260 and were able to dismiss Pearcedale for 121.  It was the off spinner John Forrest who did the damage with 7 for 21 from 15 probing overs.
Mt Eliza were chasing a win against Langwarrin but only picked up 7 wickets before the heavens opened.
11 of the 17 first XI games did not even start.

Next week the final game before the Christmas break gets underway and  RPP FM will cover Tyabb and Frankston ycw.
