Based in Frankston, Head Consultant, Marilyn Moloney is a registered nurse whose passion for older people has seen her working in the aged care industry for 17 years. She is interested in not only helping with their day-to-day concerns but in their lives, their stories and most of all their welfare.
Marilyn left a successful job in customer service to pursue her nursing career after looking after her own mother who suffered from Alzheimer’s disease. It is because of this time spent caring for her own mother that Marilyn understands the stress, emotion and guilt suffered by families whose loved one suffers from dementia and other mental illnesses. Marilyn is an experienced facility manager and is qualified with a Diploma of Management. Her most recent position of managing a facility’s Home Care Package program taught her to be a conscientious listener – finding out what the client really wants and needs. The need of the client and their family is paramount in determining the best options available to their circumstances.
Marilyn said, “We appreciate that each customer has individual requirements and circumstances, and we strive to minimise the confusion, concerns and complications that can arise during times of significant stress and change. Whether it is assistance to stay at home, or moving in to a Retirement Village or Residential Care our OAS consultant will provide the information and solutions necessary to meet your requirements.” OAS provide personal support and guidance right through the ageing journey giving families all available care options.
