Frankston City Council is calling on local young people aged between 18 and 21 to put their hand up for the exciting new role of Frankston City Youth Mayor. The 12 month voluntary position offers the chance to develop an interest in the local government, build leadership skills such as public speaking and advocate the interests of local youth to Council.

Working alongside Council and the local Youth Council, the Youth Mayor will attend Council events with the Mayor while addressing the needs and concerns of young people within Frankston City. “It’s important that we keep in mind the voice of our youth when making decisions that are in the best interests of our entire community,” said Mayor Colin Hampton.

“If you think you have what it takes to represent the interests of Frankston City’s young people by standing as Youth Mayor, head to our website now to submit your nomination before 30 November.”
