Stewart talks about his recent visit to Canberra where he had discussions with Minister McCormack, Minister for small business and Ken Wyatt, Minister for Ageing about the media report of retirement villages arising from the adverse media coverage. Along with 15 others who represented over 50,000 older persons living in retirement villages, representing 40,000 units, discussed how to improve the image of the industry, how the industry operates and how to look for positive outcomes from the media coverage.
Special guests from Latrobe University about how laughter can improve your mood and lower you blood pressure is Ros Ben-Moshe, a trained laughter therapist, lecturer of public health and one of the principal researchers at the Latrobe University on laughter for over 60’s.
