rpp-fm-colesFresh out of the RPP FM studios, cheeky Bob Phillips and sassy Judy Banks-Phillips did what they do best and hosted an Outside Broadcast at the refurbished fresh new look Coles store in Hastings.

Well-known radio jock Gary Turner, who has his own RPP FM breakfast program, joined Bob & Judy.

Gary entertained shoppers up and down aisles with his roving mic handing out $50 Coles Vouchers.

Bob and Judy interviewed Coles State Marketing Manager, Rob Wilson who said, “Think Fresh is our slogan we live by with new fresh food stations all around the store. We have purposely built fresh fruit and vegetable spaces, an instore butcher, new deli and bread freshly baked in store.”

Coles Hasting Store Manager David Siutryk is proud of the new look store adding, “The online shopping service is very popular for busy people. Our staff pick the very best produce and is delivered in the time they specify. Customers are shopping more frequently now, not relying on that once a week shop so they expect the very fresh produce.”

Coles Hastings is also community conscious donating money to RedKite and produce to SecondBite. They also allow local community groups to run Sausage Sizzles to help raise funds on their premises.

RPP FM also successfully trialled live video streaming for Internet radio. This means listeners can watch presenters doing their program in real time via the RPP FM facebook. A proud achievement for the local radio station. Check it out!

Thank you to Bob & Judy, Gary and Michael Soos, responsible for taking the station to the next level with the first time RPP FM live video streaming for Internet radio. Also our RPP FM photographer Rab Siddhi.

Check out the new look in store:

  • Fresh food market offering vegetables on ice to keep in the freshness –
