Blues Shack celebrates new time slot with…
RPP FM’s legend Blues presenter Mr Ray Reid has moved to his Mondays Blues Shack program to an earlier time slot.
Ripping in to this Monday at 7.30pm, his two hour program will jam live with two well-acclaimed Blues bands – Safari Motel and Sammy Owen Blues Band.
Safari Motel are your true Blues, Soul, Fund and good grooves sound. The Band has its roots deeply planted within the realms of Blues sprinkled with a bit of hip hop.
Performing regularly at festivals around the state including The Royal Hotel in Mornington Nicole Nehemia delivers a dynamic performance backed by her rhythm section Jason Nehill (bass) Taleb Taleb (drums), keys/hammond Rowan Mumford and guitarist Mark Evans.
As finalists in the MBAS International Blues Challenge and having their first album debut in the top 30 in the Australian Blues and Roots Airplay Chart, SAFARI MOTEL are certainly an act on the rise.

Sammy Owen put his band ‘SAMMY OWEN BLUES BAND’ on the map with a funky, energetic Blues sound as he jumps and jives like a young George Thorogood with his guitar and vocals with band members Matt Robb (Guitar), Mark Aird (Drums), Simon Hauesler (Bass) and Liam Kealy B3 hammond Organ
