Another huge round of local cricket with only three weeks left until the finals commence.

In the Bendigo Bank Match of the Day, Heatherhill were 2 for 74 overnight chasing pearcedale’s 151.

A couple of early wickets to Sam Frawley game Pearcedale a glimmer of hope. Then Kaine Smith & Shane Gillings combined to take the last 8 wickets for 40 and pull off a remarkable win.cricket 3

Mornington Lager Performance of the Day was awarded to Kaine Smith – Mornington Peninsula Brewery proudly sponsor the award.

In Provincial, Sorrento pulled off a great win over Pines who were all out for 91 and Anthony Blackwell taking all ten wickets for 41.


Peninsula Old Boys suffered their first defeat at the hands of Langwarrin.

Next week the RPP FM cricket commentary team will broadcast the Dromana and Carrum Downs match live as the race heats up in sub- district.
