A huge weekend on the local MPCA draw witnessed several teams locked in absorbing battles.

The RPP FM live broadcast cricket Match of the Day, brought to you by Bendigo Bank was a one sided affair with Crib Point dominating Baxter.cricket 3

Thanks to new Crib Point recruit Jacob Cook with six wickets, Baxter were bundled out for 88.

Crib Point has already past them and finished the day at 7-165.

Five centuries were posted in a day splendid for batting.

In sub-district, top teams Dromana and Hastings are both under pressure to keep their record in tact from YCW and Balnarring who are chasing a spot in the finals.

cricket 2Simon Dart peeled off a century to get Red Hill to 300 against third place Flinders.

The arm wrestle ins Provincial could see 9 teams with one win of the finals.

Next week the live cricket broadcast game will see Moorooduc defend 216 against Sorrento.


In other local cricket news, the RPP FM live broadcast of the T20 semi finals on Sunday saw Sorrento, 159 outgun Pearcedale, 132 after Bobby Parslow snared 4-16.

The live broadcast game saw Pines succumb to spin to lose 7-50 against Delacombe Park with an all out score of 100. Delacombe Park past them 5 out in the 16 over.

The T20 Final will take place on Sunday, 31 January at 3pm.
