Alzheimer’s Australia Vic Memory this SUNDAY

Alzheimer’s Australia Vic is the state’s peak body providing education, support, advocacy and information for Victorians of all ages living with all forms of dementia as well as their families and carers.

To help the organization continue their wonderful work in Victoria, join in their annual Memory Walk & Jog to be held at Point Nepean National Park in Portsea on Sunday 24 January. The annual event raise funds and awareness for dementia.

People of all ages and all fitness levels are welcome. Participators can run 7km or 3.5km or walk 3.5km and the first 500 people to register will receive a free Memory Walk & Jog event t-shirt!

Those who register are encouraged to seek sponsorship from their own network of family, friends and colleagues to raise funds to support the work of Alzheimer’s Australia Vic in providing support services, education and social research.

Alzheimer’s Australia Vic assist people with dementia as well as carers and families to manage the daily challenges that dementia brings. They also teach the community about dementia and the benefits of a healthy lifestyle in helping to reduce dementia risk.

Nationally The Memory Walk & Jog is supported by ambassador Ita Buttrose, who is well known for her work advocating for people impacted by dementia. Victoria’s ambassadors are Sam Mitchell from the Hawthorn Football Club and Amy Jackson from the Melbourne City women’s soccer club.

This is a great event to raise funds and awareness of dementia so get your family, friends and work colleagues to join in The Memory Walk & Jog Sunday, 24 January at Point Nepean National Park.

Child under 5yrs: Free

Child/Concession: $15

Adult: $25

Family (2 adults, 2 concessions): $60

Corporate (Team of 5): $100
