A huge crowd attended the Taking Care of Business (TCOB) Breakfast Business meeting this week, the last of the FMP (Frankston & Mornington Peninsula Business) Breakfast series for 2015.

Our very own radio presenter and SkyBusiness marketing reporter Jacki Mitchell hosted her internationally popular and award winning radio show, TAKING CARE OF BUSINESS live on stage at the Mornington Racecourse. Jacki shared the stage with her five business experts, Warwick Merry – Master of Sales, Toby Travanner – Technology & People Strategist, Darren Woolley – Marketing Thought Leader, Alex Jamieson, Finance Expert and Jessica Humphreys – Social Media Specialist.

The panelist answered questions direct from the audience via SMS during the breakfast.

Many local businesses including South East Water, Smart Business Solutions, Mornington Peninsula Shire Monash University and other local small businesses attended. The new Mayor Cr Graham Pittock of the Mornington Peninsula shire was also present.

The event was engaging, dynamic and captivating offering insightful advice, strategies and tips for business owners.

The panel also covered challenges and frustrations business owners face and predictions and trends.

Jacki and her crystal ball

One of Jacki’s favourite segments on her radio program is ‘Pearls of Wisdom’. All panel members shared their ‘Pearls of Wisdom’ with Jacki stating hers as ‘change is gain, not loss’. She also used her crystal ball as a ‘prop’ to share her future predictions.

With the event deemed a success, Jacki said, “I feel excited to be face to face with my audience and able to engage with them. She added, “Never be afraid to ask questions and focus on your strengths. Discussions today were relevant, useful and simple and hope businesses take away at least one point to make their business more successful.”

Jacki ended the morning with her ‘catch phrase’….”And make sure you are taking care of your business.”

Congratulations Jacki and her team! We are very proud of her achievements and efforts.
