‘Mounties’ reach the summit in style
In the Bendigo Bank RPP FM Cricket Match of the Day, Mt Martha’s 306 was too much for Boneo who batted deep into the day to collect 169.
Mt Martha’s coach Curtis Stone (left) received the Mornington Peninsula Brewery Performance of the Day with a fine spell of bowling and astute captaincy.
Furthermore, Round 4 of cricket, concluded this Saturday with a few shock results.
The Provincial flag favourites Peninsula Old Boys, fell short in their ‘run chase’ against Moorooduc, losing 6 for 30. Pines overcame Mornington’s modest 135 to score 270. Harley Peace-Stirling crafted a superb 93.
Next week the RPP FM cricket broadcast team broadcast the Flinders and Carrum live at the stunning Flinders ground.
