In a day of see-sawing fortune, the Bendigo Bank RPP FM Cricket Match of the Day witnessed Flinders end the play on top.
After slumping to 5 for 47 due to fine bowling from Carrum’s Lachlan Dobson, Flinders finished the day on 227.
Shane Beggs and Max Royal turned the team’s fortunes around with 49 and 47 not out. The icing on the cake came with their 14 overs of bowling that left Carrum on 4 for 29.
The receiver of the Performance of the Day sponsored by Mornington Lager, was awarded to Flinders player Shane Beggs, presented by RPP FM cricket commentator Neil Williams.
In other games, Crib Point set Langwarrin 225; Mornington posted their highest score with 242 against top team Somerville; Peninsula Old Boys and Moorooduc are both chasing outright results.
Next week the RPP FM Outside live Broadcast game will be at Frankston YCW where they will try to defend 169 against undefeated Dromana.
