The Heritage Tavern & Restaurant is an iconic establishment proudly settled in the gentile township of Balnarring. Gail and husband Mick run their family owned business with a focus on not only serving delicious meals in a family atmosphere, they also offer live music that adds to the memorable experience.
So it’s fitting Gail aligned The Heritage with two highly popular music programs on RPP FM by sponsoring Blues Shack with Ray Reid and Sunday Sessions with Mark Mayle.
Gail has a background as a Gospel singer so it was pertinent she include music at her family orientated venue whilst enjoying a dining experience.
Every Sunday on the Heritage Tavern lawns you will hear local musical artists performing. The live music played is very much easy listening and ‘middle road’. “I want patrons to cruise along to the beat while enjoying a day out as a family or a group of friends,” says Gail.
“I love to see the mums and dads relaxing on the grass listening with the kids playing on the lawns and the nanas having a bit of a dance along too,” she added.
The Heritage also provides an opportunity for very serious, professional musicians to reconnect with their followers at grass roots level and for emerging musicians to hone their craft and gain confidence.
Gail says, “I hope in time to come people will look back and remember a lazy summer’s afternoon at the Heritage, all head bobbing and jiving to the beat of a wonderful moment in music.”
There is no cover charge on Sundays so it makes for an inexpensive great family day out.
The Restaurant, open for lunch and dinner 6 days, offers a huge diversity of dishes, appealing to any discerning diner catering for all occasions. The staff are friendly, down to earth and very accommodating which is consistent with the family friendly culture of The Heritage.
