Return of 2015/16 MPCA season
Local cricket fans, players and spectators are ecstatic the 2015/16 Mornington Peninsula Cricket Association (MPCA) season is about to commence.
Round One of the MPCA will bat off this Saturday, 10 October with the RPP FM Cricket Match of the Day live broadcast sponsored once again by our friends at the Rye, Dromana & Rosebud Bendigo Community Bank Branches.
RPP FM lead cricket commentator extraordinaire Neil Williams has expanded his commentary team to include Phil Manning, ‘cricket journeyman’ Craig Keppel, the astute comments of Peter Walker and ex- district and premier cricket star Greig Whitelaw.
The live broadcast can be heard across the great Mornington Peninsula area every Saturday 2pm – 6pm and will provide scores on the Mornington Peninsula Brewery Scoreboard.
The RPP FM Cricket Match of the Day this Saturday will take place at the Tyabb Cricket Ground when the home team take on Ballam Park. These two sub-district teams were knocking on the door to the four last season and look to improve during this season. Tyabb will be led by new captain coach Joel Wylie and Ballam Park by former 6Wedgwood Medal winner Ryan O’Connor.
Also commencing this Saturday at 10am on RPP FM is The Telstra Cricket Show sponsored by Mornington & Rosebud Telstra Stores.
Tune in to Neil Williams and his regular panel including Greg McCann, Jason Nagel, Jason Albress and local club captains to catch up on local, national and worldwide cricketing news. Then the following Saturday, The Telstra Cricket Show will return to it’s traditional time of 9am – 10.30am.
