Mountain Men Conquer Blues
Round 13 live coverage of the Nepean Football Netball League’s RPP FM Match of the Day revealed a win for Red Hill over Hastings at Thomas Barclay Oval.
Red Hill controlled the match and led at every change. Despite being behind by just 1 point at quarter time and 14 points at half time, Hastings hopes of breaking into the top 3 were dashed.
Both teams had 9 goal kickers with Holmes and Larwill kicking 3 a piece for Red Hill. Among the best players on ground were Stratton and Rogasch for the Blues and Wintle for the Mountain Men.
Even with Hastings best efforts, Red Hill came home with a 27 point win, making coach Tony Blackford very happy.
Sponsored by the Mornington Peninsula Brewery, the RPP FM Best on Ground Trophy was awarded to Blues player Jake Mitchell by RPP FM commentator Michael Voss.
