Match of the Day Results Round 15 PFNL
RPP FM Match of the Day revealed an enormous win for the Frankston YCW Stonecats over the Edi-Asp Eagles in a highly anticipated game at Regents Park.
It was a slow beginning to the game with tough contests at the many stoppages and not much scoring. YCW scored the first goal at the 11 ½ minute mark and scoring continued to be slow throughout the match.
For Edi-Asp the day got no more exciting, with no goals scored in the first quarter, only 2 in the second and none again in the third. YCW dominated in the 3rd adding 6 goals to bring them to a 75 point lead at the final change.
The Eagles rallied in the last adding 4 goals but YCW just had bigger, stronger bodies all over the ground. The Stonecats have now accounted for all rivals on the top end of the ladder and look unstoppable as we approach the finals.
It was hard to separate the best players for the Stonecats with 8 or 9 contenders but in the end the best on ground was unanimously given to Anthony Barry.
