RPP FM presenters set out on the coldest morning in 18 years in support of The Hon. Greg Hunt, Federal Member for Flinders who began his 19 day Walk for Autism to raise funds for Abacus Learning Centre in Hastings and Amaze (Autism Victoria), and to help increase awareness of autism.
The Minister for the Environment started his 500km walk around his electorate on Monday with a crowd of walkers and well wishers. He will visit 56 local schools along the way.
Glenn Hampson who presents Mornings with Glenn every Tuesday 9-11am, Tarryn Tracey who presents Radio Fresh Tuesdays 4-6pm and Drive with Tarryn & Josh Thursday, 4-6pm and Debra Mar, presenter of The Breakfast Table, Tuesdays 6-9am walked on Monday 20 July, the first day of the Minister’s journey starting at Arthurs Seat.
“Walking for Autism is a wonderful cause and it’s a great way to get out in the fresh air and explore parts of the Peninsula I haven’t seen before and at the same time get some exercise,” Glenn said.
