Panthers Pounce to Victory…match details
Round 12’s RPP FM Match of the Day covered the Frankston Bombers taking on the Devon Meadows Panthers on a windy Saturday afternoon at Glover Reserve.
The Bombers showed potential at the start of the first quarter but the Panthers sprang into action, taking control of the game and not letting it go.
Having dominated the play and the scoreboard, Devon Meadows had already set themselves up for the win by half time with a 36 point lead.
The third quarter saw Frankston have a crack at a comeback but the match belonged to the Panthers.
Despite the tough conditions, Troy Aust kicked 5 goals with team mate Dylan Hand not far behind him kicking 4. Devon Meadows controlled the ball throughout the game and sealed the win by 58 points.
Sponsored by the Morning Peninsula Brewery, the RPP FM Best on Ground Trophy was awarded to Chris Doria after a great performance all day and an impressive third quarter goal.
