This weekend the luminary and wonderfully eccentric John Wolseley joins John, Sally and Will Baillieu on Arts About to tell us about Heartlands and Headwaters, his exhibition on now at the National Gallery of Victoria.
Discover how, over the past 30 years John has searched to discover how we dwell and move within landscape. He has lived and worked all over Australia from the mountains of Tasmania to the floodplains of Arnhem Land.
John said, “Using techniques of watercolour, collage, frottage, nature printing and other methods of direct physical or kinetic contact I am finding ways of collaborating with the actual plants, birds, trees, rocks and earth of a particular place.”
Hear about his work as an artist and scientist this Sunday on Arts About as he shares a little about his amazing life out bush and why he cares so much.
