Presenter Paul Satur played his best football on the weekend in the 2015 Reclink Community Cup at Elsternwick Park joining the Triple R team Megahertz in the traditional clash against the Esplanade Hotel St.Kilda Rockdogs.
FINAL SIREN SCORES:
MEGAHERTZ 9. 10 (64)
ROCKDOGS 5. 7 (37)
Players performance, dubbed ‘free range’ was outstanding considering the fitness levels of some who put their lives on the line to win. Best on Ground was presented to Megahertz player Alex Casablancas for the Stephen Connelly Award.
Live entertainment was order of the day just after the gates opened which included Allys Spazzy’s Kiddyrock, Cool Bananas, Pearls and Adalita and half time local acts The Public Opinion and Afro Orchestra hit the stage for a jam.
The crowd was also entertained by the much loved legendary Paul Kelly (who coached the Rockdogs), alongside his nephew Dan Kelly to perform their take on the Dave Graney & The Coral Snakes song Feelin’ Kinda Sporty which was the theme of the day.
