It’s the weekend that continues to draw crowds from afar and the Taste of Sorrento Food, Wine and Beer, celebrating it’s sixth year, put on it’s best yet.
On Sunday, RPP FM local radio joined in as part of the entertainment down the main street of Sorrento covering the event live from the Outside Broadcast Van.
RPP FM presenter of the Late, Late Brekky Show, Bob Phillips invited Debra Mar, another RPP FM presenter along side to help interview distinguished guests associated with the village of Sorrento.
Natalie Garner, senior organizer from the Chamber of Commerce Sorrento & Portsea spoke to Bob and Debra about the event commenting on the talented chefs including local resident Paul Mercurio, Ian Curley, Adam D’Sylva, Andrew Wilson and local chef and Masterchef finalist Michael Demagistris who performed cooking demonstrations to lovers of food.
Then the afternoon was taken over by three energetic presenter acting out their usual witty antics, naming RPP FM presenters of the Peninsula Run program Johnny, Andy & Lofty who chatted on air to Sorrento ‘personalities’ and well-acclaimed local business people.
There were many street vendors lining Ocean Beach Road offering local produce including wines, cheese and everything in between whilst local ‘street characters’ and buskers charmed passer-bys.
RPP FM Management wish to thank Natalie and her team for bringing us another fantastic funfare annual event – a real crowd pleaser! And thank you to Steve Meyers, Production Manager who pressses all the right buttons to get us to air and the RPP FM photographer for his patience and great photos.
