High Street Hastings is the home of Gourmet on Main and High on Fruit and they want locals to get behind their businesses. And there are many reasons why. They offer the freshest, reliable and local meat, fruit & vege with a friendly smile and a yarn you won’t get at the bigger stores.
Mark & Kassie Walles, owners of Gourmet On Main is your one-stop butcher shop for quality cuts of meat including prime steaks, pork, chicken and duck, fresh fish, delicious home style sauces to complement your dishes, free range eggs, sea salt and other gourmet products.
Marinated meats, sausages, chicken patties and more are made on the premises. Mark said, “I am pleased to offer local beef and am excited to announce I’m sourcing locally grown lamb.” He added, “It’s important to support local growers on the land.”
Mark passionately dresses his front window daily with enticing cuts of meats. He understands the importance of looking after his local customers’ needs and provides the very best choice cuts available.
The 'meating' place in Hastings is Gourmet on Main.
Next door is High On Fruit. Store owners George & Lisa Pittas are virtually high on fruit! Their store is aesthetically appealing with a rustic mood reflecting an old backyard shed packed with home grown produce from the vegie patch.
Both Gourmet and Main and High on Fruit strongly support local growers, which in turn supports the local economy.
