As part of RPP FM’s busy Outside Broadcast line up for the coming months, we kick off with the annual Frankston Waterfront Festival to be held this weekend on the iconic Frankston foreshore.

Over two exciting days, RPP FM presenters and entertainers will come together and provide a live broadcast of the action from the festival starting at 9am Saturday with:

  • Neil Williams and The Cricket Show
  • 10:30am – The Locker Room
  • 2pm onwards we cross live to the cricket with Neil Williams for the RPP FM Match of the Day action updates and scores around other grounds during music from the Live n’ Local Main Stage.
  • 6pm – Barbara Kuhl, Pete Smedley and Ange Robinson provide highlights from the day in the lead up to the firework display at 9.45pm and the headline act Rolling Stones Tribute Band.

Sunday we take ‘centre’ stage again between 9am – 6pm delighting listeners with entertainers Bob Phillips & Judy Banks-Phillips on The Late, Late Brekky Show and later in the day Peninsula Run program with Johnny, Andy & Lofty. Talented musicians including Young Vincent, Andy Phillips & Cam Mineo perform on the Live n’ Local Main Stage which will also be heard across the RPP FM live broadcast.

This annual event continues to thrill families and friends, local and afar who enjoy and celebrate all that Frankston has to offer with local live music, markets, beach activities, water sports, mermaidens, regional food and wine and so much more.

Entry is FREE for all with rides and amusements.
