Excited Padua Secondary College Year 11 students currently undertaking a Media Course will produce and present their own radio program ‘live to air’ on RPP FM this Tuesday, 11 November between 6 – 9am.
Seven students will present their segments on RPP FM Breakfast Table program. Topics include sport, music, film reviews and interviews with Padua teachers about school life.
Debra Mar, Producer and Presenter of The Breakfast Table said she was thrilled at the opportunity to take her breakfast program to Padua Secondary College. “The experience will provide an insight into skills required to produce and present a radio program and expose students to the ‘mechanics’ of a live outside broadcast.”
The idea of an outside broadcast was initiated after the Media students toured the RPP FM studios in Mornington recently as part of their course which involves a combination of theoretical and practical work.
Emilio Di Paolo, SIS Sports Coordinator at Padua College who supported the idea said the students have worked hard to put the segments together and are looking forward to the experience.
