RPP FM was proud once again to be part of the 2014 endota spa Voice of Frankston Grand Final last Sunday with a live broadcast from the Rotary Room at the Frankston Arts Centre.

Josh and Tarryn, RPP FM presenters of Radio Fresh and Drive with Josh & Tarryn covered the excitement live to the airways on 98.7FM & 98.3FM Frankston announcing the three winners.

The three category winners of the 2014 endota spa Voice of Frankston are:

SENIOR CATEGORY – Gail Howden who entertained the audience with a Toni Braxton number Another Sad Love Song

ADULT CATEGORY – 17 year old Sian Crowe sang Feeling Good by Nina Simone beautifully

JUNIOR CATEGORY
- 13 year old Fox DeRoche-Jarrett delighted the crowd with his rendition of Rip Tide by Vance Joy

Young Fox who loves being in the outdoors in his spare time or playing his guitar, piano and saxophone was thrilled to receive his award saying, “I love singing because it makes me feel free of stress or anger, it makes me feel happy and it’s so fun. It’s something I enjoy, not just for performing or impressing people, it’s something I live for, something that’s part of me and my life.”

The Voice Of Frankston again witnessed fierce competition.

Jenny Wilkinson, organiser of The Voice of Frankston competition and Director of hey di ho Music P/L said, “The performances from the contestants this year exceeded all expectations. Amazing voices – incredible talent from Frankston and the Mornington Peninsula!”

Judges on the day, Simon Mills editor of Pearl magazine, Ian Pav from Pavmusic, Ariana Friend from AV Productions, Joanna Jacobs from Beyond Actors and Cail Baroni, last years winner in the Adult Category (who also performed on the day) were again pushed to the limit. With scores so close and high, the adjudicator had to triple check all calculations.

Amazingly the Junior and Adult winner shared the same high score of 191 out of a possible 200 points.

Winners get the chance to record a single CD, a filmed video clip, makeup and CD cover photography, an interview with Pearl Magazine and more.

The Grand Final was also filmed for Channel 31.

If you think you have talent, why not enter the 2015 endota spa Voice of Frankston.

Congratulations to all winners who have a bright future.
