Bowling Around the Peninsula program is back on the RPP FM airways weekly with a fantastic season ahead commencing this Saturday, 4 October at 8am.

Presenter John Tinney and his co-hosts Pamela Dind, a bowls champion and Noel Johnson, a bowls expert will open up the first show with an interview John recorded with Manager/ Owner of BOSSPORTS Barry Irving, a Major Sponsor of Bowling Around the Peninsula for the third year. Also on board as a sponsor is Taylor Bowls, the leading bowls innovator for over 200 years.

BOSSPORTS is a local sporting store in Mornington catering for all sporting enthusiasts offering sports equipment, apparel and indoor enclosed areas to ‘try before you buy’. Swing a golf club or a tennis racquet for size and chose bowls to try on an artificial green. Barry also suggest that customers take a set of bowls down to their Bowling Club to try them out.

Other services offered include restringing, club repairs and restamping.

Barry commented on the store’s growth steered by locals who have driven sales which provides the opportunity to carry a wide variety of sporting goods and equipment and the fact that people now know we are here to service all competition sports.

John said, “We are fortunate to have BOSSPORTS come onboard as a major sponsor for our bowls show again for another year”. John also advised Taylor Bowls is also providing $1,500 in prizes and give-aways during Bowling Around the Peninsula program.

John interviewed Barry on his first show for the season to learn ‘What’s new in store’, new brands and classic, stylish apparel with new season colours.

John has a long history around bowling greens. He was the former president of City of Frankston Bowling Club and was the former President of the Bowls Past Presidents Association, Peninsula Group and currently Secretary/Treasurer for that group. He was also a member of the Bowls Past Presidents Association Victorian State Committee until he stepped down earlier this year. John is a qualified Bowls Umpire.

Pamela joins John who represents the Peninsula Bowling Division, is a qualified bowling coach and the current Secretary for the Peninsula Bowls Division. She has lived and breathed bowls circles for many years with high positions as Director of Bowls City of Frankston Bowling Club, Lady President City of Frankston Bowling Club, Director to City of Frankston Board of Management, Club Delegate to PBD PRC and BV, Team Finalist in PBD Ladies Fours and Umpires and Coaches.

Noel Johnson also will join in and he represents the Flinders Bowling Division.
