The Peninsula Run drive program with funny men Johnny & Lofty and the ‘rose between the thorns’ the lovely Andy D, broadcast live from Sorrento Hotel Friday for the MPFNL Grand Final Day Luncheon.
The threesome engaged with the audience who enjoyed the live entertainment and interviews with the big names in the football world on their program.
Ian Johnson, ex-senior executive of Channel 9 spoke about The Footy Show, now in its 21st year.
Scotty Palmer, footy columnist and Wayne Richardson, ex-Collingwood Captain and player where also given centre stage behind the microphone to add to the footy celebrity list of special guests.
Singer/songwriter/jinglewriter Mr Mike Brady joined the team and performed his household jingles from Lucky I’m with AAMI, SPC Baked Beans and Spaghetti and Hard Yakka, finishing with his famous Grand Final Anthems ‘One Day in September’ and ‘Up There Cazaly’ that brought the house down!
Tony Jewell, ex-Richmond football player also stepped up to the ‘podium’ for an interview.
Marcus Derham from CoastCom Security and sponsor of Peninsula Run and RPP FM station was on board to have a chat.
Johnny, Andy D & Lofty also spoke about the wonderful Peninsula and how lucky we are to live in an area that offers variety and a lifestyle found nowhere else in the world!
The RPP FM Outside Broadcast at Hotel Sorrento was deemed a success and Station Manager, Mr Brendon Telfer commented on the professionalism of the team and the calibre of special guest that made great radio.
