At 4am in Main Street Mornington Apple fanatics lined up to be the first to purchase the new iPhone 6 at 8am when the doors opened.
Business Owner and Licensee of the Telstra Shops in Mornington & Rosebud Peter Bennett-Hullin said he was ecstatic with the local response to the new iPhone 6 launch adding, ”We sold out of the iPhone 6 Plus by 9.30am this morning because of the bigger screen.”
Toby Travanner, IT Expert was down at the Mornington Telstra Shop to do a live cross back to the RPP FM studios to talk to Jacki Mitchell on her program Taking Care of Business to present his segment ‘The 1%ers That Make A Difference’ and his review the new iPhone 6 with Peter.
Toby said, “The bigger iPhone 6 Plus screen which boasts 5.5 inches, now has more real estate and thinner body so doesn’t feel bulky, and has a longer battery life.” He also spoke about the PHABLET, which is the latest device designed to combine or straddle the functions of a smartphone and tablet.
The iPhone 6 is the ‘flagship’ leading into the larger screens and larger devices and slides from standstill portrait to landscape with 3 colours to choose from with 16GB, 64GB & 128GB. Peter added, “This is the biggest iPhone launch because there has been a lot of conversation around Apple heading down the track to larger screens and devices”.
Jacki concluded by congratulating Peter and his Mornington team for receiving this year’s Telstra Licensee of the Year award earlier this month. This prestigious and highly regarded award recognizes the store’s contribution to the community, the Telstra brand and positive customer feedback.
When Jacki asked Peter what his secret to success was, Peter replied, “We are a good community ‘citizen’, empowering our staff to provide good customer service.”
Back at the RPP FM studios in Mornington, other guests on Jacki’s program covered the topic of career 'Sea Change’ which included owner of Green Olive in Red Hill, Greg O’Donoghue (Ex – PWC Mgt Consultant) and Greg Jones owner of Bongo (ex- elite Paralympian Coach – awarded prestigious Australian Sports Medal).
Come down and meet Pete and his friendly, committed customer service team at The Telstra Store Mornington, located at Shop 107-108, Mornington Village Shopping Centre, 241 Main Street, Mornington and take a look at the new iPhone 6.
