An exciting finish to the Preliminary finals series today at Frankston VFL Park. The oval was drenched in sunshine as two burly footy sides battled to take centre stage in the 2014 Peninsula Football Netball League’s Grand Final next Sunday.

Bonbeach Sharks and Mornington Bulldogs revealed a game played out in two chapters with Bonbeach dominating the first half and Mornington the second half.

Bonbeach displayed great footwork and marking skills and looked the dangerous side putting the boot before the ball to score the most points on the Bendigo Community Bank Branches half time scoreboard: Bonbeach 9. 5 (59)  Mornington 3. 2 (20).

RPP FM experienced footy commentators Michael Voss and Josh Beard gave listeners a thrilling ride as they covered the action live on 98.7FM & 98.3FM Frankston, especially in the last quarter when the scores were even at the 15 minutes mark.

With the wind favouring Mornington in the last quarter the final match score on the Bendigo Community Bank Branches scoreboard:

Mornington Bulldogs       2.0,  3.2,  10.4, 14. 11 (95)
Bonbeach Sharks                4.2,  9.5,  10.7,12. 7 (79)
