Meeting local businessman Peter Bennett-Hullin, licensee of Mornington & Rosebud Telstra Shops and Mornington Telstra Business Centre, you soon realize he is a man on a mission.

Pete’s vision for his Telstra businesses is to deliver an instore customer experience like no other, completely focussed on solving customer needs. Face-to-face contact with his passionate, trained Team, personalises the experience and customers leave knowing that they have someone they can always use as a local point of contact.  This creates ongoing opportunities to continually solve for individual customer needs for their business, home office and personal use.

Mornington & Rosebud Telstra Shops business philosophy is supported by it’s ‘We’re Here to Help’ culture, and understanding the local community gives the team an opportunity to make it easier to develop solutions rather than take the sales approach.

Pete explains “It’s not about selling boxes, it’s about finding the appropriate solution for each customer, which is our point of difference.” “That’s what’s important to us.”

Being part the Telstra brand for 16 years, initially working within the company, but now having been a Telstra licensee for 10 years, Pete understands what it takes to run a successful business. Tea, the Manager of his award winning Mornington Telstra Store, took out the prestigious Telstra National Award for 'Manager of the Year' earlier this year. While he believes a successful business is based on leadership, being articulate, and having a strategic plan, ultimately it is all about having a passion for the customer. He said, “We set out to always employ staff who can really engage with customers easily.”

“Telstra has also recently refocussed its approach around creating fantastic customer experience’s, which has had a major impact in supporting the way we have always strived to do business,”  he added.

Mornington & Rosebud Telstra Shops are proudly sponsoring the RPP FM Match of the Day in the 2014 Mornington Peninsula Football Netball League season.

Pete’s son Jack who actually features in the Telstra ‘Kick it to Me’ ad campaign with his dad, currently aired on RPP FM local radio, is quite the celebrity among his friends and family. Young Jack, now 14, loves his footy and really enjoyed recording the ad.
