Young seven year old whipper snapper, Cooper was ‘proud as punch’ when he visited the RPP FM Studio this week as the lucky winner of a child’s fishing rod.
Glenn, The Fishing Guru ran a competition in his popular fishing segment on The Breakfast Table radio program and gave away the rod.
Cooper’s dad, Lee who listens to the Guru’s fishing segment every Tuesday at 7.10am, heard about the competition and took Cooper to Frankston Pier where the Guru gave away the rod with a lesson thrown in.
Cooper, a student at Somerville Primary said on The Breakfast Table program, “I love fishing with Dad and I caught a Pike in Western Port Bay and it was this big!”
Debra Mar, producer and presenter of The Breakfast Table asked what he wants to be when he grows up? Cooper replied, “I want to be an action man.” We think deep down he wants to follow in the footsteps of the Guru and be a fishing expert!
This Saturday, 14 June between 9am – 10am the Fishing Guru will be at Frankston Pier again to give away his last child’s fishing rod at to a lucky young angler. First in wins this great child's rod worth over $100. He might even thrown in a fishing lesson or two!
