Debra Mar visited the restaurant to meet the ‘man behind the menu’ and get the scoop first hand.

This proud restaurant featured on Marine Parade, is opposite Pelican Park Recreation Reserve and Hastings foreshore. The vista of green parkland and water can be viewed from the front decking and restaurant.

The décor is stylish with an appealing modern colour palette of charcoal and muted whites with comfortable walled bench seating, tables and chairs.

Rodney who previously ‘chefed’ at well-renowned Richmond Oysters Restaurant and Richmond Seafood Wholesalers has the best contacts in the seafood business. So you can be assured seafood served at maQuay is as fresh as the day it was reeled from the sea.

His passion of food and commitment is visually obvious on the plate. Chef Rodney believes cooking is about culinary art matched with a memorable dining experience.

Duck & chicken dishes, quality steaks from the grill and ‘A grade’ seafood caught from the depths of the sea is cooked to perfection.
