HIGH ON FRUIT & GOURMET ON MAIN have joined forces to sponsor a popular weekly segment on RPP FM’s program The Breakfast Scoop titled Cooking with Ange.
Pete Smedley & Ange Robinson, presenters of The Breakfast Scoop who dish out impromptu wit are delighted that George, owner of High On Fruit and Mark, owner of Gourmet On Main have renewed their sponsorship with the breakfast program and RPP FM local radio.
Ange who presents Cooking with Ange every Thursday at 7.15am, shares her cooking tips and provides simple wholesome recipes made with fresh produce from High On Fruit and Gourmet On Main.
High On Fruit store owners George Pittas and his wife Lisa are virtually high on fruit! Their store is aesthetically appealing with a rustic mood reflecting an old backyard shed packed with home grown produce from the vegie patch. George and Lisa work hard to ensure customers are continually offered the best farm fresh produce, full of flavour and colour from local growers and other produce daily from the market.
He is proud of his visual merchandising skills and is a stickler for detail saying, ”I love to display fresh fruit & vegies that is visually pleasing to the eye showcasing beautiful fresh produce.”
George has been in the fruit & vegetable industry over 25 years and has been at his current premises at High On Fruit in Hastings for 3 years. He offers a Loyality Program to his customers and provides fresh fruit and vegetables to local businesses and restaurants.
Mark & Kassie Walles, owners of Gourmet On Main are next door to High On Fruit and is the one-stop butcher shop for quality cuts of meat including prime steaks, pork, chicken and duck, fresh fish, delicious home style sauces to complement your dishes, free range eggs, sea salt and other gourmet products.
Marinaded meats, sausages, chicken patties and more are all made on the premises. Mark said, “I am pleased to offer local beef and am excited to announce I’m sourcing locally grown lamb.” He added, “It’s important to support local growers on the land.”
Mark passionately dresses his front window daily with enticing cuts of meats. He understands the importance of looking after his local customers’ needs and provides the very best choice cuts available.
