Bob Phillips & Judy Banks-Phillips always attract ‘household names’ and superstars and this week was no exception when they invited local winemaker Garry Crittenden behind the microphone on their Sugar n’ Spice program.

He explained to Bob & Judy he started his journey at the age of 28 years old when he planted his first vines in 1982.

His family is now heavily involved in the winemaking business producing top class wines on the Mornington Peninsula and seen as the region’s pioneer who kicked start wine growing in the area.

Garry wanted to make it clear to people that him and Crittenden Estate HAS NO CONNECTION WHATSOEVER with wine sold under the Woolworth owned brand CRITTENDEN & Co. Crittenden Estate DOES NOT SUPPLY it'swines to any of: Woolworths, Dan Murphy, BWS, Safeway, Coles, Vintage Cellars, Liquorland or First choice.

Garry said, “Crittenden Estate make beautiful cool climate boutique wines using viticultural techniques.” He added, “We no longer spray with synthetic pesticides, herbicides or other artificial chemicals which are bad for our environment.”

On the premises of Crittenden Estate, Mornington Peninsula Winery is Stillwater Restaurant, separately owned by Zac and Jacqui Poulier. For a wonderful food experience of local grown produce and the latest taste sensations, ring Zac and Jacqui to make a booking.

Garry is proud of his family’s achievements and wines including the easy to drink Pinot Noir, Pinot Grigio, Pinocchio Wines, Geppetto Wines and Sauvignon Blanc.
