Sally Lukey from Sweetpea Cuisine presented local resident and avid RPP FM listener Stephen Ellis with Luke Mangan’s latest cookbook, Salt Grill he won on her Tasty Tuesdays segment on the RPP FM Tuesday Breakfast Show.

Stephen who enjoys listening to Tasty Tuesdays said, “I’m the main cook in the household and Ioves listening to Sally because she promotes healthy eating using fresh food.” With a recent trip to Sri Lanka, Stephen was captivated by the simplicity of the food and great tastes. “I reckon I’m a bit of a ‘foodie’ myself,” he said.

Growing up in a family where ‘homemade is best’, everything Sally does is from the heart. She possessed a sophisticated palate at an early age, requesting pâté on her toast for breakfast. With a teaching background and love of fresh food, she now presents cooking demonstrations locally and in Melbourne in well-known establishments.

Working overseas in restaurants, exposured her to the food industry and is now involved in Recipe Development, Recipe Testing and Editing, Food Styling and Production.

She rubs shoulders with celebrity chefs and has worked in TV such as Better Homes & Gardens Live and Ready Steady Cook as well as taking care of food production for KitchenAid's cooking DVD.

Sally explains that Sweetpea Cuisine specialises in sharing passion, enjoyment and knowledge. “Everything we do comes from the heart and we always add lots of love and a touch of Sweetpea style,” she said.
Sweetpea Cuisine’s philosophy is simple – use fresh and seasonal product to create easy, tasty culinary delights.

Sally’s passion is infectious and her delightful effervescent and ‘quirky’ personality will have you coming back every Tuesday to learn and share ‘all things food’ with a great weekly recipe.

Every month Sally offers a cookbook give-away to her listeners. March give-away is a cookbook called I’d Eat That! written by Celebrity Chef Callum Hann.

Debra Mar, presenter of the Breakfast Show says her listeners are fortunate to have such a talented ‘foodie’ on RPP FM to offer advice, tips and knowledge.
