Saturday 1 February, RPP FM local radio is thrilled once again to broadcast 12 hours of live Blues music at the annual Blues at the Briars festival.

RPP FM has just upgraded it’s Outside Broadcast to ‘4G’ for a better quality and more reliable service. Listeners will hear Blues solo acts and bands such as local Mama Blue & Son, Shannon Bourne, Blue Eyes Crying, JJ Rome and highly commended, celebrated international artist Lloyd Spiegel to name a few, ‘live to air’ on the day. ‘

These artists and more have also performed live on the RPP FM Blues Shack program presented by expert and lover of Blues music Ray Reid in the lead up to the festival. Some artists have also recorded in the BlueScope Performance Studio at RPP FM radio station in Mornington.

The historic homestead at The Briars will set the scene for this magnificent festival in it’s second year supported by 12 world-class Blues artists who perform across many Blues musical genre. If you can’t make it down to the Briars, listen to the live broadcast from 11am on your 98.7FM & 98.3.FM dial.

This is a great family event so bring the kids, picnic rug, sunscreen, aerogard and ‘chill out’ with the music whilst absorbing and relaxing in the vistas of The Briars rolling hills.

Also the Sunday Sessions program, aired every Sunday at 12 noon with RPP FM host Mark Mayle, presents a cross section of many music genres including Blues, sometimes live, sometimes pre-recorded.
