Big brass bands, pipes & drums will lead the community spirited Hillview Quarries Australia Day Street Parade packed with dancers, emergency vehicles representing local services, Scout and Girl Guide groups, local Clubs and proud Australians waving their handheld flags.

RPP FM will broadcast the street parade live as RPP FM’s outlandish presenter and personality Pete Smedley interviews parade participants as they pass the RPP FM marquee from 5pm onwards in Main Street Mornington.

Parade Director Cindy Last is delighted to present the pipes & drums of the 5th/6th Battalion Royal Victorian Regiment as a national treasure and will lead the procession down Main Street to Mornington Park.

A Flag Raising Ceremony in Mornington Park will be address by Australia Day Ambassador Mr Simon McKeon AO at 6.15pm.

There will be free children’s activities in Mornington Park from 3pm including yard games, face painting, mini golf, roving entertainment and workshops.
Don’t miss the Fireworks Display (subject to weather) 9.15pm – 9.30pm.
