The vivacious Maria Vaitsis is the latest RPP FM presenter to add variety, culture and entertainment to the Peninsula’s popular local radio station, writes Debra Mar.

Maria hosts her new radio program called (GEIA SOU ELLADA) with Maria Vaitsis, spoken in Greek every Thursday between 6- 7.30pm.

This informative and entertaining program offers worldwide news and sports including Australia, Greece, & Cyprus, worldwide & Greece showbiz, interviews of Greek celebrities and personalities, announcements  of Greek community events, music, topical issues, Ecology updates, health & wellness, a weekly Greek recipe and a monthly quiz.

In Greek (GEIA SOU ELLADA) with Maria Vaitsis  is attracting many Greek and Greek speaking people and with RPP FM offering live streaming and iphone and Andriod APPS her listening audience is worldwide.

Maria first came to Australia from Athens as a child and was no shrinking violet. She was a young, natural performer on the stage of dance including ballet at the National Ballet School, Greek dancing, drama and acting. After studying business as a young woman in Australia and working for Technisearch Pty Ltd, she returned to Athens to further her business career working with businessman George Cherfan in a large international/advertising/pharmaceutical and recruiting company. Furthermore, she worked with businessman and President of the Greek Ecological Political Party Kostantinos Papanikolas, as an International – Special Secretary and political candidate of Greek Ecology, participating in the European Elections 2009.  She is also well-known in Greece for her acting abilities, appearing on a TV show called GIA SOU DARVINE and working on TV station TV TILEFOS as a TV Presenter on her own show ΟΙΚΟΛΟΓΙΚΗ ΣΥΝΕΙΔΗΣΗ».

Maria has 3 children, all of which follow her passion for life, confidence and successes.
